Press Release | Releases New Custom Fields Feature

July 12, 2022 | Georgetown, Texas — Ashore App has released one of its most requested features: the ability to create custom fields and search or organize proofs by them. This update gives users the flexibility to record unique details for each proof and tailor Ashore to their own organizational system.

Custom fields are created in Account Settings and apply account-wide. Users can choose from four field types:

• Single Text Field: Enter a custom value like an order number or manager name.
• Datepicker: Record dates beyond a proof’s deadline, such as an internal review date or project start.
• Dropdown Select: Choose from preset options like product type or store location.
• Checkboxes: Select multiple options from a list, such as assigned team members or print requirements.

“At Ashore, one of the biggest challenges we see users face is organization,” says Cody Miles, CEO and Co-Founder of Ashore App. “Every company has its own way of managing project files. Custom fields let them shape Ashore around their process instead of the other way around.”

Once created, custom fields appear when starting a new proof and can also be edited from the proof timeline sidebar. On the Proofs page, users can search and filter by any custom field, making it easier to locate the exact proof they need.

“Every proof contains more than just a name, deadline, and tag,” adds Miles. “They often include customer details, P.O. numbers, and internal deadlines. The ability to create and append custom fields is the first step toward making Ashore the center of the prepress experience.”

All Ashore users can create one custom field, while Business and Business+ plans unlock unlimited custom fields. Current users can upgrade via the Billing section in their account. New users can create a free account to see how Ashore streamlines the proofing process.
